Weight Loss

So this week I started an attempt to lose weight. I decided to follow the SpecialK 2 Week Challenge. Of course you have to buy all their stuff but that actually was the reason I wanted to try it. I always buy their stuff anyway. Their website lays-out the meals for breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and dinner.

My doc tells me that the meal plan doesn’t have enough calories for “my frame” and I need to double everything. I’ve doubled the snack bars and just added a little more cereal than 1 cup. Calories listed are probably just a bit less than I consume.

The reason you are not seeing my weight as I do this is because well, I have a scale at home that has a 400lb limit. Got to get to that point where I can use it. Hopefully next Monday I can. If not, I’ll keep on with this diet and try to add exercise.

So I don’t currently know yet if I lost any weight. Will try and stop by doctors offices to weigh in. I do feel better and not so blotted everyday. One thing I learned from this is to count calories. Writing them down helps. Need to find and easy to way to count them (an android app or similar).

Well I did lose the 6 lbs suggested by Special K® after the two week period. Need to get to a certain point. Still doing this program during the day and trying to watch the calories at night. More updates to come.

To date I have lost 35 lbs. I am below the limit now to begin to use my own scale at home. Now if the remaining weight I need to lose will be as easy.

Today I weigh 322 lbs which is 100 lbs lost since I began. I feel better and clothes fit better. Need to reduce the amount of sodium intake also. Yeah me!
