I have about 10% of the cover material removed. The foam padding on the underside was difficult to take off. The dremel tool I am using is very helpful. I had to use a large cutting wheel to be able to cut-away any material with ease. I’m going to try to finish the last of it tonight. I bought the high-heat resistant silicone also.
I finished drawing out the sections I’ll be removing from my engine cover. This modification is pretty simple actually. The link shows several pics of others on GP’s that look pretty cool. My Bonneville cover is a little different than the GP version. I noticed the motor mounts for the GP are in the front of the car and the Bonneville mounts are on the side. I’ll be posting completed pics on my site as well as the Bonneville Club site. I hope to have it finished very soon, but I have a full weekend planned with the church so I might not be able. I can’t wait until it’s finished.
Started working on the “simple” modification of the Series II Engine Cover. My friend Cliff allowed me to use his Dremel tool kit so that should make it easier.
New Goodyear American Eagles installed all the way around. Traction is a beautiful thing!
Water Pump replaced. Biggest PITA I have ever experienced. I’m going to wait a little on the stat & pulley changeout until I know for sure the problem has been corrected.
