I stopped by Clinton Body Shop this morning to have them put the SSEi logo on the trunk and install the carpet piece for the back of the back seat. I cannot express my joy in getting my car back. NOW IT IS TIME FOR MODS! I’m repairing some of the little things wrong with it like the blower motor that went out. Upgrading the brakes with slotted rotors and new calipers. Maybe even purchase the ever-elusive Supercharger Pulley tool to remove and install my new pulley I got last year!
I picked it up Tuesday night. Clinton Body Shop of Clinton, MS did a great job! There were two issues I had with it. One was the SSEi logo on the trunk was mounted above the keyhole instead of below as it is supposed to be. When they removed it the acrylic shattered and they had to order a new one. The second item was the carpeting that is mounted to the back of the back seat. They had to order a new piece for that also. Everything else is just the way it was before the accident. I am very pleased with this experience. I know there are others that experience many problems dealing with the insured and the insurance company, but I had no troubles at all.
Well, it is finally ready to pick up today. I’m going to the Body Shop this afternoon after I take back the rental then pick up my baby! Hoorah! I hope to have reconstruction pics up soon.
I talked to my brother-in-law who just so happens to be the painter working on my car and he said it looks a lot better than he thought it would. All seals seem tight and he should have the paint finished by Monday morning latest. Then to the finish shop to put everything back together. I should have it back by Thursday or Friday of next week. Can’t wait!!! :}
I’ve checked with the Body Shop this morning and all looks good so far. The Body work is almost complete and it is scheduled for the paint shop Wednesday December 3, 2003. I can’t wait to get it back. I miss my HP and Sound System!
