I picked up the Honda Saturday and it is in much better shape than before. Performance Motorsports of MS did a fantastic job. Wes is so proud to be driving the “jalopy.” I drove it yesterday since my Buick is out of service. Wes will be driving it a few days each week since I can car-pool with my Wife. Working with the insurance company to get it towed to Performance Motorsports of MS soon I hope.
It turns out that the transmission was the culprit. We sent the car to Performance Motorsports of MS and to date they have replaced the transmission, clutch, one ball joint and an oil pan gasket. We should have the car back today hopefully. Wes is “chomping at the bit” to get it back.
In the same instance it seems the motor in my Buick has locked up. Not sure what it is yet but am towing it to Performance Motorsports as well.
The day after Wes gets to drive it something happened and when it is placed in any gear it goes no where! CRAP!!!! Wes is so disappointed. At this time we have it slated to be picked up by Performance Motorsports to work on it. Trans/Clutch issue is out of our skill level. They are also picking up the 240 to store for me before the City sends me a fine for a non- registered vehicle in the drive-way.

The car is now street legal. Tag, inspection, and insurance all acquired. Now I have the joy of teaching Wes how to drive a “stick.” He has been practicing in the driveway learning how to use the clutch and is getting better. We’re headed out tonight to drive around town and get more practice.
It turns out the horn works a little too well. It seems the horn buttons on the steering wheel are “always-on.” I could not get it to stop blowing once I replaced the horn itself. I eventually ran a bypass in-line with the power source and connected a momentary switch. I noticed that one of the fan belts is wearing pretty bad so I purchased replacements and will hopefully have time this weekend to work on them.

Well we’ll finally will have the title in our hot little hands tomorrow no thanks to the State Tax office. We should be able to insure it as well. Only thing we have left to make it pass inspection is to fix the horn. I will try to get that done tonight or tomorrow. Wes still needs to learn how to drive the “stick.” We’ll work on that as well.
