We spent Saturday afternoon going over a few things on the car. We changed the oil, spark plugs and checked/adjusted timing. We also fixed the back brake light housing on one side that was cracked. While replacing the oil I noticed a connector on the housing of the trans that was broken off. I think this is why our reverse light’s do not work.
Sunday afternoon the car started over-heating on the way to lunch. Got it home but haven’t taken a look at it. We bought a new low temp thermostat and are going to work to get it installed before it is driven again.

My son found a repair procedure for the Digital Speedo on the 240.

Seems simple enough. Hardest part is getting it out of the dash. Going to try this procedure and see if we can bring it back to life.
We took Dodger to our daughters track meet the other day and confirmed that he doesn’t get along with other animals. We were told by the shelter that he did not get along with small children and other dogs/cats. The Coaches Lab was led over to where Dodger and I were sitting and Dodger began to go nuts. It took all I had to hold him back. His heart rate went up and he was growling and barking.
When he has been around my sisters Chihuahua Chico, he simply ignored him. But there were a couple of smaller dogs and Dodger would growl and bark at them also. One family walked by and I did not notice as soon as Dodger did but a very little girl not even paying attention to Dodger set him off.
Of course I knew he did not get along with the squirrels in our back yard as he chases them every chance he gets. We’ll be changing his leash out from the small retractable device to a sturdy nylon if we take him back out again.
Man I am stoked! I just found on the Internet a website that hopefully has led me to one of my oldest friends from my days in the USAF stationed at Keesler AFB, MS. The site is www.wiredawg.net and it had a section specific to the 1839th EIG. I posted once and then started searching the member profiles and found none other than Salvatore DiMasi! When we were at base we used to cut up and have a blast! We were worse when we were stationed at the same TDY base.
When at home-base we would go to Popeye’s near Edgewater Mall in Biloxi on Sunday afternoon and see who could eat the most from their buffet. Of course, Sal would always win! I also remember a White Toyota Supra he bought I think when in Florida somewhere. Nice car! I would drive it for him when he was TDY and didn’t take it with him.
We were stationed in the 1839th EIG based at Keesler. Our outfit would travel 98% of the time. Leave in January and come back in December. I loved it! It was great to see parts of the World a boy from MS doesn’t get to see normally.
Well, I emailed the link on the site and hope he responds. I have been trying to find just a few guys I used to work with from my days in E&I.
We now have the tag, lights and inspection. We are now street legal. Stage 2 updates and PIC’s soon.
