Adding to the stable

December 28th, 2005 No comments

I’m soon to be the new owner of a very used 1989 Nissan 240SX. It’s free as long as I come pick it up. A friend of mine has it and was going to build a drift car out of it since it has the ka24e engine, but alas, he has lost the desire and it is taking up space at his apartment complex. The landlord of course frowns upon cars lying around not running.

Motor needs to be rebuilt and a back passenger side window is out. Will probably need more work than I’m willing to do, but Wes (my son) and I could have fun working on it. Now all I have to do is get it home somehow.

Selling the Bonne

December 14th, 2005 No comments

Well it seems my friends at the Bonneville Club were right. Too many things wrong with it for the price. Although I hated to try and sell it, my Son thinks I didn’t try to hard, I still have it, Just too many issues with it for the right person to purchase. Oh well. I will just end up keeping it and my Son will have to drive the Buick. He’s over it.

My boss finally launched his website for his new business Performance Motorsports.

Selling the Bonne

June 16th, 2005 No comments

It’s a sad day in my World as I place my Pride & Joy on the Selling Block. Children grow up and insurance prices are high for a Supercharged vehicle. I’ve inherited a 1999 Buick LeSabre and my Son, who turns 16 next month, will need to drive our vehicles at some point. So I’m selling the Bonne to aid in purchasing my Son his own car, IF POSSIBLE.

I have a friend with a 1998 Honda Civic 2 Door Coupe. It has the ricer look, but not too bad. Simple black 2 door with sport wheels and the typical ricer muffler. It’s in real good condition even though it has 123k on car, around 80k on motor. It will be a nice surprise if I can get it.

Hopefully I can sell the Bonne soon and close this chapter in my life. I sure will miss the HP and Sound System. Damn fine car!!!

It’s been a while since my last post, but not much has changed. The leak in the trunk has been corrected, but I haven’t replaced the antenna as of yet. I’ll get to it as soon as I can later in the future.

I’ve been working a great deal and not spending much time on the car at all. I haven’t even cleaned it in a while.

Marshall has been working on a car for the Cannonball One Lap of America race. He left yesterday trailering the 1994 Toyota Supra owned by Greg Caloudas of GSCMotorpsorts.

I have two problems at this time.

  • I picked some friends up yesterday from the airport and opened my trunk for the first time while the motor was running. When I went to close the trunk it caught the antenna. Naturally since I was expecting to close the trunk completely, the antenna was caught and broke off. Needs replacing!
  • The trunk is leaking. When it rains the trunk gets REAL wet! Needs repairing!

I’m going to contact Clinton Body Shop and see if they live up to their reputation!
